कार्यक्रमाच्या अध्यक्षस्थानी माजी मंत्री डॉ. राजेंद्र शिंगणे होते. ते म्हणाले की, “Annabhau Sathe Jayanti साजरी करताना आपण त्यांच्या संघर्षमय जीवनाचा आदर करतो. त्यांच्या लेखणीने दलित, कष्टकरी आणि कामगार वर्गाला हक्कांची जाणीव करून दिली.”

सिंदखेडराजा तालुक्यातील पांगरी काटे येथे झालेल्या या कार्यक्रमात जिल्हा परिषदेचे माजी सभापती दिनकर देशमुख, अमोल काटे, आदित्य काटे, गजानन इंगळे, समाधान सरकटे आदी मान्यवरांची उपस्थिती होती.

राज्य शासनाने त्यांच्या जीवनावर चित्रपट निर्माण करण्याची घोषणा केली आहे. डॉ. शिंगणे म्हणाले की, “छावा चित्रपटामुळे संभाजी महाराज समजले, तसेच अण्णाभाऊ साठे यांचे योगदानही नव्या पिढीपर्यंत पोहोचेल.”
